This is a Traditional Wedding Ring with a touch of eloquence. Two techniques are used in this quilt. The Wedding Ring is a "pieced" quilt and we have added an "appliqued" vine of Roses and leaves that winds it's way throughout the quilt. We used a rich blue "tone on tone" in the rings, and deep rose to burgundy on the roses to make them "pop open". The quilting takes on a life of it's own carrying the vine and roses beyond the coloured portion. The backing is off white and the binding is the same plain light blue used within the quilt.
