This is an older quilt design with a new look. The Jacob's Ladder and Fans are pieced and the added vines with flowers and leaves are appliqued. The burgundy and navy tone-on-tone colours used are very striking. The marble greens used in the leaves give them depth. The tone-on-tone white background gives a lacy, elegant look to this quilt. The expert hand quilting flows with the design with leaves hand quilted into the outside border. The binding is a tone-on-tone navy and the backing is an off white.
