This unique mosaic design is made with both the pieced and appliqué technique. It gives the illusion of a spinning wheel. It is done in a blend of warm terra cotta, tan, burgundy and blue grey colours, on a background of light tan tone on tones. The outside border and the binding are done in the same blue grey used in the center. This quilt is expertly hand quilted in circles to accentuate the spinning wheel. The backing is a plain off white. |
