This quilt with it's lighthouse is popular with people who like the "East Coast Flavour". It reads, "A Sailor's Answered Prayer in Sight The Shining Fortress ... A Guiding Light." The striking log cabin around it is very showy with it's blue and white prints. The backing is the same navy used in the border. The binding is the same medium blue with tiny leaves on it that is used in the log cabin blocks. The free hand quilting in the center picture gives the rocks and waves such depth. In true "D & D Country Quilts" fashion, it is all hand quilted with a chain link motif quilted into the border to complete the theme.
